Uncross cross-tab

Greetings,

Financial controllers always provide cross tab Excel sheets.
The uncrossing operation is not that easy if there are several headers rows.
Could we have a transformation where we enter the number of rows and the number of columns for the headers?
Then we would get a flattened list as output.

Hi Christophe,

just use the “Label column” action before unpivoting. It creates a column header from a few top rows. See example below:

Hi Dmitry,

Could we have the possibility to specify a separator in the “label column” operation ?
If I want to split the “Labels” into several columns after the unpivot operation, space is not always the best separator.
On my current project I get : “draft 1 2018 quarter 1 southern Europe”
It would be easier with “draft 1|2018|quarter 1|southern Europe”

Regards

Christophe

Good point. We will add this capability.
