SharePoint Online Connector

Are there support for “SharePoint Online” for Connectors?

I get a very long string and an error: I connect just fine to the site with Power BI for report to Power BI Services on line using Excel documents in SharePoint Online;

Test connection failed:

Hello @rmcvicar

It is possible that your SharePoint Online instance is not configured to allow access for Easymorph, please ensure (or ask your administrator) to “allow access for unmanaged devices & Apps that don’t use modern authentication” in your organization’s SharePoint Online Admin Center.

The settings should be under Access Control → Unmanaged Devices and Access Control → Apps that don’t use modern authentication:

Set both to ‘Allow Access’

Hi @olysak, do you plan to deploy Sharepoint online connector, like you did with Power BI and OneDrive ? I mean by azure app, defining scopes, and including the topic I spoke to you : app with service principal. If MSAL can do this for power bi, I guess it also applies to onedrive and sharepoint as it’s the same connectivity logic.

We would really appreciate the possibility to task file copy to sharepoint online (office 365) through easymorph.

Hi @RJO

EasyMorph SharePoint connector is CSOM-based and usable with SharePoint Online. As far as I know there are no plans for such major development like migrating SharePoint code from CSOM to MSAL or somehow interviewing MSAL AD-auth into CSOM, but I may be mistaken.

Regarding service principal / client app credentials flow for PowerBI, we are looking into this but can’t make any hard promises yet.
