Setting up a new Sharepoint Connector

I have created a new user in AD and went to create a new Sharepoint Connection with that user name and password. Every time I test it I get the following error…

Test connection failed:
Can’t connect to the server. The sign-in name or password does not match one in the Microsoft account system.

Notes:
New account, no MFA
Logged in to Sharepoint through Microsoft with the new account.

Any help appreciated

We have a solution for this issue.

In Microsoft Azure, there is a setting that Blocks Legacy Authentication.
The setting is in Conditional Access->Policies

It was enabled. Click on the policy name and disable it or add the names that you want excluded from blocking. I would not recommend deleting it just in case your admin had a good reason to have it enabled.
