We ae on Desktop and Server versions 4.5.0.6 we we download the 5.1.2 will it respectively do the upgrade of our Desktop and Server? Or do we need to do someother steps to protect our jobs (projects)?

Before upgrading, please read the release notes for the new version. The release notes come with the installer and are also available on our download page here: Download
It is recommended to make a backup of existing EasyMorph projects, just in case. Note that after saving projects in a newer version, they can no longer be opened in an older version.
If you have EasyMorph Server, upgrade it first. Only then upgrade Desktops.
