No plans for EasyMorph on MacOS at all.
I’m sad about that
Thanks foir the quick answer
Leonardo
Unfortunately, it’s not possible to port Windows apps to MacOS easily. They need to be developed from scratch. We don’t have such resources. Maybe one day when we become a billion-dollar company we’ll do this.
What about making Easymorph compatible (at least it’s main features) with Wine? or Codeweavers / Crossover.
Maybe this approach will be easier? Not sure about this details, just sharing some ideas.
EasyMorph works well in Windows installed on a Mac running Parallels. For now, that’s the only way to run EasyMorph on a Mac.
Hi Dmitry,
Trying to reopen this topic again...
Each day less and less analysts use Windows. In my company by default any employee will get a Mac. For me personally EasyMorph is the only thing that makes me use a Windows remote desktop.
Considering that Wine / Codeweavers are each time more mature. Can you reconsider the possibility of adding support for Wine in EasyMorph?
It not only will enable Mac users, but Linux users as well.
I will try to use EasyMorph with Wine, and if I have success, I will share a tutorial!
But yeah... that's the situation, Windows market share is declining. Each day less people use Windows... There should be a way to run EasyMorph without using a VM or Remote Desktop if it's possible.
Update.
I've tried on Mac with CrossOver without success.
In Linux I'm able to run EasyMorph with Lutris.
It seems that some libraries used on Proton allows you to run EasyMorph on Linux. Since there is no easy way to run Proton on Mac there is no solution at the moment.
Linux on the other hand, works great. I need to do some more testing, like connectors and stability.
Thanks for the update, @Dan.
I didn't realize that Wine can run on MacOS too. We should give it a look closer. If we manage to make EasyMorph run under Wine, then it will be one solution for MacOS and Linux.
For now:
MacOS → use Parallels
Linux → use Lutris
