Change import source

Hi,

Lets say you have a whole complex transformation set up, and then you decide you would like to change the TYPE of input file (e.g. from CSV to XLS) in a table that occurs right at the beginning of your transformation.

Is there way to directly edit that input action (and change from CSV to XLS) leaving the rest of the transformation in place?

Right now the only option I can figure out is that to import a new table (as XLS), but then I have to do all the transformation work again??

You can copy the table/sheet/project and only replace the import action.

Thanks - how do you “replace” an (import) action?

Insert the new one. Delete the old one. Starting from version 3.8 import actions can be inserted at any position.
