I am using a calculated column where a numeric value is written to the new column, but it is being interpreted as a date. Please see the attached example.
How can I resolve this issue? Neither the AsNumber function nor the Convert.To... functions seem to work.

You can change format of the column to Number by selecting 1000 in this menu (see the example, the first picture shows column with dates, the second picture shows the same column with format transformed to numbers)
After saving the project the column will keep the number format.
