I have been the only admin user of our easymorph server and now I’m trying to add a new user. The user can log into the physical hardware/computer that the server is running on - via a local windows account (just like my account)…and I have set them up the same way within easymorph itself. But when they go to the web address of the easymorph server either via localhost or from a different machine and try to log in it says they can’t log in.
Any ideas what I’m missing?
In Easymorph>Users they are listed the same as me (as local windows admin for the identity provider, and checked that they are a server admin when logged in via web).
Easymorph>Spaces - they are also listed within the proper space (mirrored my current settings).
To create a new Server administrator user that can access the Server via a web browser:
Make that user log in via the Server Monitor, as a local Windows administrator. The Server will automatically create a Server user account.
Important! The name of the automatically created account doesn’t include the machine or domain name, only the user name. For instance, if the local Windows account was MYLAPTOP\user1 then the Server user account will be just user1. Make sure to use the Server user name, not the Windows account when logging in the Server from the web UI.
For that Server user account, create a password in the user settings (see below):
Thanks - It was that I wasn’t setting the password…I thought because it showed the identity provider as “Local Windows Administrator (via Monitor)” that it was using local windows authentication.
