Using regex in calculated fields [DONE]

It would be useful to be able to validate columns with a pattern in a calculated column (e.g. to check data quality).

I have seen that you already replied on such a question by suggesting the use of a filter component Using that component requires the addition of a filter for each column you want to validate. I would find it very useful to use regex functions inside the “calculate new field” tranformation and the “modify column” transformation.

Is it being planned to provide this feature in the future ?

This would be very useful to scrub/cleanse data fields in a customised way

We will add regex functions in v4.2.1 planned for release in late February.
