Teradata ODBC connection [DONE]

Hi,

Is there a solution to connect to Teradata DB. Is it something to be added in the future releases?

Cheers,
Karol

Hi Karol,

at this point the only way to import data from Teradata to EasyMorph is to use the Generic SQL dialect in ODBC connection, and use custom SQL queries. No support for Teradata in visual queries is planned anytime soon.

Exporting to Teradata can be done using custom SQL commands in the “Database command” transformation in order to instruct Teradata to perform bulk loading from a text file, previously prepared in EasyMorph. No direct export is possible at this time.

Thank you dgudkov for your prompt replay.
Cheers,
Karol

Hi,

We may also need a teradata compatibility in near future on our side. It would make easymorph a common data prep tool for far more clients than today. It may also give us the opportunity to order new servers (poc on going with odbc but the visual part is not available in this case, enough for devs but not for end users).

Regards

Hi Romain,

We can use the same approach as with Denodo - you help us get in touch with the other vendor’s technical team, they arrange access to a test instance for us, and we add support for their SQL dialect.

Ok, I will see on my side what we can do about it.

As of version 5.7.2, EasyMorph supports Teradata - both ODBC and native connectors are available.
