Numeric data not recognized

Hello,

I’m seeing a strange behavior in EasyMorph that I’ve never encountered before. For some reason, it doesn’t recognize the numeric values in a column generated by Qlik Sense’s autonumber function. Any idea ?

Thanks and best regards,

Chris

Hi @Chris ,

Could you please clarify how the issue is observed? Does that column now have no values, values as text, or something else? Are other columns fine? What application version are you using? Could you screenshot the profiler data before filtering?
Finally, if possible, please send the file or a sample of it to support@easymorph.com

Thanks

Hi Vlad. Easymorph V5.9.6.3, the profile before filtering indicate 25.547.513 empty values, while the filter shows the values as shown in my previous screenshot. They are all numeric (integer), all other columns are fine. There is no issue to read the content with qlik sense. When I try to filter other columns to generate a sample file to send to you, it makes the column BorddCafId empty, not sure if you will be able to find something but I’ll send you the file.

Thank you for the additional information. If the sample file was produced by EasyMorph, unfortunately it would work for debugging, as it was written by the EM exporter. In the sample QVD, all entries in that column are written as nulls, and the column metadata header reflects that.

If possible, please share a file produced directly by Qlik or maybe even the full file.

Additionally, please post a screenshot of the file imported in 'Import metadata' mode.

Locally, I could not reproduce the issue with the sample file you have shared or a new test file containing an Autonumber field, unfortunately.

On the larger file, the issue was reproduced. We are working on a fix and will notify you once a build with the fix is available for download.

The bug has been fixed. Please install the updated version from our website.

Hello,

Thanks for your investigations. New version installed and problem solved.

Kind regards,

Chris
